שחייה: אליפות הקיץ הארצית נפתחה עם מדליות

כבר ביום הראשון לתחרויות זואי ולפשי זכתה בשתי מדליות.

אתמול בבוקר נפתחה אליפות הקיץ של ישראל בשחייה לגילאי 12-14, שמתקיימת בבריכה הלאומית שבמכון וינגייט בנתניה. מחלקת השחייה של הגליל העליון זוכה לייצוג של 10 שחיינים ושחייניות שמתמודדים הן במשחים אישיים והן במשחי שליחים. עשרת השחיינים והשחייניות שמתמודדים בבריכה בימים אלו הגיעו לאליפות לאחר שהתמודדו במהלך חודש יוני על כרטיס הכניסה לאליפות בתחרות המוקדמות. בכל מקצה לפי קטגוריית גיל ומין 30 השחיינים והשחייניות המהירים ביותר במדינה עולים לגמר אליפות המדינה.

יום התחרויות הראשון הניב הישגים מרשים: זואי ולפיש, בת ה- 12 מקיבוץ יראון זכתה בשתי מדליות: מדליית הזהב הגיעה במקצה 200 מ’ פרפר כשהיא נוגעת בקיר לאחר 2:36 דקות בלבד. מדליית הכסף הגיעה במקצה 400 מ’ חופשי עם תוצאה נהדרת של 5:02 דקות. מלבד ולפיש השתתפו עוד שחיינים ושחייניות שקבעו שיאים אישיים נהדרים וימשיכו לעבוד קשה ביומיים הקרובים.
