ניצולת שואה החלה לצייר בגיל 90

מריצה ברקו מקיבוץ פרוד, היא ניצולת השואה שהצטרפה בשנה האחרונה לחוג ציור וגילתה כישרון שהיה חבוי בתוכה כל השנים.

השבוע צוין ברחבי העולם יום הזיכרון הבינלאומי לשואה, בדיוק 76 שנה לאחר שחרור אושוויץ. גם לאחר כל כך הרבה שנים מסתבר שעדיין אפשר להתפתח ולגלות כישרונות חבויים. דוגמא לכך היא מריצה (מרים) ברקו, בת 91, ניצולת שואה מהונגריה, ממייסדי קיבוץ פרוד. ברקו משתתפת בקורס ציור ייחודי לקשישים, המתקיים במועדון “מופת” בקיבוץ פרוד מטעם המועצה האזורית מרום הגליל. הקורס, אשר מועבר ע”י הציירת מרים מהדיפור.

מריצה ברקו: “התחלתי לצייר למרות שאף פעם לא ציירתי לפני כן. מרים גרמה לי להאמין שאני יכולה, ויש לי סיבה לקום בבוקר. לא רק אני, כולם מציירים בשמחה במועדון, היא מרצה ומוסיפה לנו ידע על אומנות. בלעדיה היו חיינו אפורים ועניים. אני אסירת תודה לה, שבזכות תמיכתה, הדרכתה, סבלנותה  וכישוריה המיוחדים, הצלחתי להגיע למקומות שנותנים לי השראה ועידוד. אני מרגישה שינוי מפתיע וגדול, שמאפשר לי לחיות בהתלהבות ושמחה תוך כדי יצירה של ציורים.”
